Prop A Good for Kids? Don't Bet the House On It.

Who could be against kids? With 2 children in the St. Louis Public Schools, I would vote for almost anything that increased resources for public education. And that’s what the gaming industry is betting on.
According to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the measure is projected to benefit only 8 of the 25 St. Louis County school districts and would bring no money to the St. Louis Public Schools.

As I see our neighborhood begin to spruce up, I worry that we may lose our affordable housing and our diversity. In ten or fifteen years, will a family like mine be able to buy a home in this neighborhood, or will they be priced out?
