ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI: St. Louis Public Radio, following its recent merger with the St. Louis Beacon, is seeking a part-time backup (on-call) weekend announcer to prepare and deliver local content during various network programs, and operate a broadcast console and other related equipment. St. Louis Public Radio has recently relocated to a state of the art facility in the Grand Center Arts and Entertainment District in St. Louis.
The ideal candidate should have:
- an insatiably curiosity;
- strong voice and conversational delivery;
- an ability to delivery engaging breaks.
Candidates must have a minimum of one year experience in radio, or online broadcasting experience. Successful previous public radio announcing is desirable. Candidates for this position must meet St. Louis Public Radio’s standard of NPR-style announcing that is conversational and engaging.
